I began learning about Feng Shui in 2003. Like most people who stumble upon the words “FENG SHUI”, I became curious, asking questions and seeking more information. Around the same time, a dear friend introduced me to Nine Star Ki, which I later learned is the Astrology of Feng Shui. As my interest piqued, this information kept presenting itself to me in different ways until one day I realized that my unique gifts of creativity, intuition and empathy coupled with the principles of Feng Shui would shape my career as well as my personal experience.
I now recognize that the principles of Feng Shui have always been guiding my life. However, it wasn’t until a pivotal time in my life that I was able to use its principles to shape my future and create more harmony and balance for myself. Seeing the changes in my own life using Feng Shui to guide me is what motivates me to continue my studies and work so that I may support others in consciously experiencing the same benefits I have experienced.
I am the beneficiary of one of the most knowledgeable teachers in the west. My teacher and mentor, Teresa Marinelli is the founder of The Progressive Institute of Learning/The Feng Shui Alliance School. I met Teresa and began working with her in 2008 and began my formal studies in 2009. I am incredibly blessed and fortunate to have the opportunity to learn from someone who is a pioneer in Feng Shui as she opened the first school of Feng Shui in the New York-New Jersey area.
Working with Feng Shui is very natural for me. After studying and teaching ballet for more than 30 years, I am able to see the possibilities with a creative and esthetic point of view. My experience as a choreographer taught me to observe the fluidity in the spaces of a home or business. While I am working in a room, I can imagine how the occupants will relate to their space as if they were a dancers moving across a stage. Sometimes I feel like the Balanchine of Feng Shui when a space has a reached its natural flow and, as I like to say, becomes the space it was meant to be. I love creating a beautiful and functional space whether it is a closet or an entire home. Every space deserves the same detailed attention in order to translate your lifestyle into structure and function.
